Aquaponic System

Spring 2017

Collaborating alongside Westen Johnson and Wynn Geary, we looked into the benefits of integrating a closed-looped system within farming. Our top priorities were finding a way to reuse the water, plus minimizing the total footprint of the system.

  • A closed system which drastically saves water

  • Plants can grow 2 to 3 times faster than conventional growing techniques

  • Once set up with proper chemical levels, the system will maintain itself with few adjustments

  • Uses less space to grow the same crop yield, in comparison to traditional farming
